About Me

Hi, my name’s Mark Ryes, an award-winning British male voiceover artist with over 40 years of experience as a voiceover artist and TV presenter. I began my performing career hosting shows all the way back in the ‘80s. My television work was about as varied as possible, presenting for The Children’s Channel, hosting game shows for ITV and working as a reporter for BBC Radio Four – I’ve certainly learned I’m able to talk to just about any audience. I quickly moved on to live television hosting, where I’ve racked up over 4,000 hours of live TV experience. I love building years long (and even decades long) working relationships with my clients. I believe the continuity of a singular voice is key to having a strong brand and my approachable and universal British accent is a core aspect of why my voice over work is so trusted by my clients. As an Oxford voiceover, my neutral British accent has allowed me to delve into just about every form of voiceover work there is. I quickly branched out from UK voiceover work and my voice is now recognised internationally through my work with global iconic brands such as Emirates, Google, HSBC, EE, Wix, Tomy, Mattel, Bosch, GSK, and Unilever. I’m known among my clients as having the very essence of Britishness, which as we all know, provides international appeal that has given me the privilege of being the public face to an audience across the globe. Beyond my extensive commercial and corporate work, I’ve also had the pleasure of voicing characters across gaming and animation. Some of my notable work includes an award-winning turn as Santa Claus and the 1950’s BBC/Pathe News vintage newsreader voice. Even sticking to the realm of a strictly British voiceover actor, I’ve still managed to portray characters that have ranged across the board from a werewolf to a cat commentator, and everything in between.
