About Me
Hi, I’m Mark Ryes - an award-winning British male voiceover artist and TV presenter with over 40 years experience.
I’ve worked with international brands including Emirates, Mercedes-Benz, Skoda, and Google - plus doctors and nurses hear me daily as a voice of e-learning within the NHS. I'm the voice that’s kept you informed on company phone systems, entertained you with TV and radio commercials and explained tricky concepts on videos and films across the world.
When I’m not in my studio just outside London - I really enjoy being out of the booth as the "Voice of God" at live company events and award ceremonies.
I've been lucky enough to carve out a few niche characters with my voice work too. I'm an award-winning Santa Claus voice, I'm booked regularly for my sports commentator style - mainly football or Formula 1 but other sports are available and if you need a vintage newsreader - like the old-style Pathé and Movietone newsreels - I’m that guy too: taking you back in time for museum exhibits, documentaries, TV promos and even modern corporate videos!
I'm a TV presenter too! Back in my teens I started presenting on television, but I'm probably best-known in the UK for over twenty years as a presenter of live shopping TV on channels like Bid TV and Ideal World. You can also see me popping up on TikTok as a product demonstrator and host!
I produce and co-host two very successful weekly podcasts. The award-nominated audio podcast for voiceovers and directors - "How Do You Say That?!", and the YouTube video podcast "Grumpy Old Gays". During the pandemic, I also produced and presented a successful business podcast called "Surviving Lockdown".
