My approach to commercial copy is that whatever the product might be as the spokesperson you it's critical that you engage the listener and speak from a place of understanding and always from your heart. Even if the product is intended to be part of a highly complex intellectual solution, there will always be an underlying emotion that must embedded throughout the message. A human connection, an understanding, the ability to solve a problem, to make someone's job easier or more productive, to be more inclusive, these could all be possible underlying subtexts to commercial copy. Now once that subtext is ID'd the magic happens when you as the actor can relate it to something in your own life.
